The 3⅜ by 5¼ inch shallow breakarch brass hinged dial door signed Matt. & Thos. Dutton London above a circular glazed aperture to the rectangular brass dial-plate, numbered 261, with silvered Roman chapter-ring, lozenge half-hour marks and delicately pierced blued-steel hand, the matted centre with large diameter silvered alarm setting disc.

The movement with 2⅞ by 3⅝ inch plates and four baluster pillars, the going train with verge escapement and short bob pendulum, the alarm with vertical crown wheel striking on a bell above the plates enclosed with drop-in sliding side doors, brass suspension loop to the top and wall spurs below.
