This exceptional example is the only recorded lantern clock signed by Browne. All the other know clocks are attributed to Thomas Browne as they are unsigned. This clock throughout gives the evidence that the attributed clocks while unsigned are by him. His beautifully engraved copper dials are the most prominent and instantly recognisable feature.
