Vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Submariner Date, Ref.1680 ‘Red Line, Feet First’, Full Set, Box & Papers dated 1974

Recognised by collectors as one the ‘most ‘iconic’ Rolex wristwatches, we are very pleased to have this stunning ‘Red Line’ Submariner Date,Ref.1680 from 1974 in stock. Notable features include the ‘Top Hat’ plexiglass; a full set of accessories including an info card on how use the Rolex box as a cigarette box! The main attraction though is the dial. This is the ‘feet first’, Mark VI dial with beautifully patinated indices; the red ‘Submariner’ text is clear as is the white script denoting the chronometer rating of the watch. Note: The dial has had in the past, very minor paint to the correct the tiny flaking at the edge at 6 o’clock which occurred when it was serviced. You can’t see the repair with the naked eye but we are stating the repair to be absolutely transparent. Importantly, with vintage divers,  the lugs are strong and the lug holes are deep all round. Supplied fitted with a 9315 bracelet and 380 end links and as a full set, the watch is presented in excellent, preowned condition and comes fully guaranteed.
